THE ESSENCE
OF CHRISTMAS
New Year marks
a new beginning. However, an incarnate festival celebrated a week before the
awakening is Christmas. Christmas essentially marks the birth of Christ Jesus
and with him happiness and joy. The festival inevitably witnesses people giving
in to the traditions of preparing the marzipan, rose cookies, neureos and of course the spellbinding Christmas
tree and Crib
But what still
remains latent is the ideals the festival propagates – peace, love, forgiveness
and reconciliation. In a world full of turmoil, injustice and discontent, it
becomes difficult to just sit back and not worry about recent happenings in our
nation and around the world. But this Christmas, it’s time to let go of the
baggage of the past. Stop worrying about what you could’ve done to fix it.
You can never
have the perfect kind of Christmas. It’s also very difficult to forgive and
forget. But at least, start spending time with your loved ones. Love can get
lost amidst the hustle and bustle of life. Decorating the Christmas tree or the
Crib together can make your festival qualitative and fun. Also make it up by
exchanging gifts and going shopping.
By being stressed and pressure we're only breaking ourselves down. Don't beat yourself up or let the world or people make you bitter. Cherish the love this Christmas, make memories, forget the regrets because everything is already planned by the divine, all you need to do is give it a head start. It's not about forcing yourself to be happy, just don't let sadness ground you. Christmas is way more than just presents or Santa Claus. The red and white colours of Christmas symbolize peace and love. Green reinforces the birth of life. Bells ring in harmony. Carols add to the music and rhythm of life. Sweets augment sweetness and the chilling December just reminds you that the dawn of a new sunrise is imminent.
